1935年・藤田嗣治による図案
1935年、日本生まれのフランスの画家・彫刻家、藤田嗣治による緞通の図案『愛犬』。
当社の創業メンバーである絨毯商・佐野直吉が、同年「純日本風たる緞通」を主題に高島屋で開催した「現代大家創案支那段通展覧会」へ出展されたデザインです。
The “Ai Ken” (Beloved Dog) rug design was created in 1935 by Tsuguharu Foujita, a Japanese-French painter and printmaker.
This hand-knotted rug was exhibited at “New Dantsu Pattern by Contemporary Masters” held at Takashimaya in the same year to showcase “Pure Japanese-Style Dantsu Rugs” produced by our co-founder, carpet dealer Naokichi Sano.
