嬉しいご報告がございます。工房敷地内の4棟の建物が、「国土の歴史的景観に寄与しているもの」として国の登録有形文化財（建築物）に登録されました。登録をいただいたのは、事務所棟、緞通棟、染色棟、マーセライズ棟の4棟です。

創業以来、山辺町の繊維産業の伝統を基にじゅうたん製造技術を発展させ、戦後の復興期において事業を再開し、現在まで地域経済の一翼を担う象徴的な建築であること。

敷地計画においては、事業拡大や技術革新に伴い段階的に整備・拡張され、工房や事務所の動線は効率的な生産活動を考慮して配置されていること。

建設当時からの意匠や機能が概ね保存され、後の改修も当初の建築の特徴を尊重しつつ行われており、地域の産業史を伝える重要な文化財としての価値を有していること。

これらの評価と共に、地域景観を形成する現役の工房として国の登録有形文化財にご登録いただけましたこと、大変光栄に存じます。

ますます変化の激しい時代環境の中でも、創業時からの理念である「世界に誇れる最高品質のじゅうたんを、山辺の地の手仕事によって創り続け、地域社会と文化の発展に寄与する」を一層大切に携え、この場所でものづくりの風景に誠実に向き合って参ります。

We are honored to share that four buildings on the grounds of our workshop have been officially registered as Tangible Cultural Properties by the Japanese government—recognized as contributing to the historical landscape of the region.

The registered buildings include our Office Building, Dantsu Knotting Hall, Dyeing Hall, and Mercerizing Hall.

According to expert evaluations, these buildings represent a remarkable evolution of carpet-making techniques rooted in the rich textile traditions of Yamanobe Town. Rebuilt during Japan’s postwar recovery, they have long stood as symbolic structures contributing to the local economy.

The site has been gradually developed and expanded in response to business growth and technological innovation. Each building was purposefully positioned to support an efficient flow between production and administration.

Experts have also noted that the original design and functions of each structure have been largely preserved. Even later renovations were carried out with great care and respect for the buildings’ original character—enhancing their value as cultural assets that embody the industrial heritage of the region.

We are truly grateful to receive this designation, which recognizes not only the historical and architectural significance of these buildings, but also their ongoing role as part of a living workshop.
