湘南茅ヶ崎の家

1967年竣工、吉村順三設計「湘南茅ヶ崎の家」に、再び特注のスカイブルーの敷き込みカーペットを復刻製作・施工する機会を頂戴しました。

弊社工房に残る当時のオリジナルカーペット資料を施主様とリサーチし、何度も打ち合わせとサンプル製作を重ね、忠実な仕様・色調・施工を再現いたしました。

竣工時にカーペットをお納めする機会に恵まれた吉村順三による名作住宅。そして、施主様とご家族の建築家と建築への愛情によって住み継がれてきた美しい住まいで、約60年の歳月を経て、再びものづくりの機会を頂戴したこと。

作り手冥利に尽きる、幸せな出来事でした。

We were honored to once again produce and install a custom wall-to-wall sky-blue carpet for the iconic “House at Shonan-Chigasaki”, designed by Junzo Yoshimura and completed in 1967.

Together with the current homeowner, we carefully researched original archival materials preserved at our workshop and held numerous meetings and sample trials to faithfully recreate the carpet’s original specifications, color, and texture.

This remarkable residence, a masterwork by Junzo Yoshimura, was one we had the privilege of furnishing with carpet at the time of its completion. Over nearly six decades, it has been lovingly maintained by the homeowner and their family, guided by a deep respect for the architect and his vision.

To be entrusted once again with such meaningful craftsmanship after all these years was a profound and fulfilling experience—one that truly affirms the joy of being a maker.
