1935年、日本の洋画家・梅原龍三郎による図案『豹紋様』。
当社の創業メンバーである絨毯商・佐野直吉が、同年「純日本風たる緞通」を主題に高島屋で開催した「現代大家創案支那段通展覧会」へ出展されたデザインです。
he “Hyou Monyo” (Leopard Pattern) rug design was created in 1935 by Ryūzaburō Umehara, a Japanese painter who painted in the Yōga style.
This hand-knotted rug was exhibited at “New Dantsu Pattern by Contemporary Masters” held at Takashimaya in the same year to showcase “Pure Japanese-Style Dantsu Rugs” produced by our co-founder, carpet dealer Naokichi Sano.
