Workshop Detail: The wall finish in our reception room is an original material developed in-house in the 1970s.

By blending 100% wool cut threads—produced as byproducts of the Dantsu knotting and tufting process—into plaster pigments, the result is an organic, uniquely textured surface.

This idea took shape before the concept of “sustainability” had gained broad recognition, born from a desire to cherish the materials of craftsmanship, along with the time and hands poured into their making—without allowing anything to go to waste.

Half a century after its application, the wall has matured into a rich, amber-toned patina.

工房応接間の壁材は、1970年代に自社で開発したオリジナル素材です。緞通を製作する過程で生まれる、羊毛100%のカット糸を左官の顔料に混ぜ込むことで、有機的で独特なテクスチャを生み出しています。

「サステナブル」という概念や課題意識が、まだ社会に広く一般化する以前に、ものづくりの素材と、そこに注がれた人の手と時間の価値を無駄にせず、大切に育んでいく想いから生まれたアイデアです。

施工から半世紀が経過し、壁面は今、味わい深い飴色へと変化しています。
