手織の大緞通表面仕上げの風景

A large hand-knotted Dantsu, more than 8.5 metres wide and 12 metres long, is finished by hand. The craftsmen visually inspect the entire area, make detailed shearing cuts, separate the fibres with tweezers and remove loose hairs. It is an endless repetition of handiwork.

横幅8.5メートル、長さ12メートルを超える手織の大緞通に、手仕事で表面仕上げを施しています。全面積を職人たちが目視確認をし、細かなシャーリングを施し、ピンセットで毛を分け、遊び毛を取り除きます。果てしない手仕事の反復です。
